How to look after your pet after you have died.
It may not be the first thing you think about when you are making a Will, but if you have pets you should try to make provisions for them if something should happen to prevent you from looking after them.
Clearly the first solution would be to simply ask a relative or friend to take care of them. You would need to run the idea passed them first, and then let the important people in your life know your plan. You can add a note to your Last Will and Testament, but of course your Will may not be read for many days after you pass on, so you can't rely on that - your poor pet will need help immediately.
If you don't have a some one who would be able to take in your pet or pets, then you need to look to a professional organisation for help.
Most countries will have some kind of society for the protection of animals.
